Service Description

Drawing a live model has always been and remains one of the most difficult subjects for artists, since in a portrait it is important not only to reflect the anatomical features of the sitter, but also to convey individual character and mood. The path to successful portrait drawing lies through mastering the basic aspects of the work and the artistic and emotional development of the student himself. Over the course of two days, artists will examine the anatomy of the human head and shoulder girdle, the laws of composition in the selected format. Artists will also discuss common mistakes in drawing and how to overcome them, they will also be using a clear sequence of working with the live model. In addition to the theoretical and practical parts which will include tutor’s demonstrations, original examples of students work from the teacher’s personal collection will be shown. In two full days, artists will be able to create a longer analytical pencil drawing and a shorter tonal drawing on coloured paper using charcoal.

Cancellation Policy

All Cancellations must be made in writing to Merrie Curtiss -Fuller at this address, Holly Farm, Brisley Road, Horningtoft, Dereham, Norfolk, NR20 5DS. Cancellations will be subject to a cancellation fee of £30. If cancellation is received less than 5 weeks before the start of the course, your deposit will be forfeited. I regret I cannot make refunds for bookings which you cancel after the final balance has been paid. Final balance is due no later than 5 weeks before the course. I reserve the right to cancel the course if insufficient bookings are received, I will inform you of this at the earliest opportunity and in this event the monies will be refundable in full.
